Is there a way I can sign for my permit ahead of time while I am applying for my concealed carry?
Answer - No-RSMO 571.101.7 states that the applicant applying shall sign the permit in the presence of the sheriff or designee once it is approved.

Answer - Once the permit is approved, it is valid for 5 years. Renewals are also valid for 5 years.
3. Do I need to report a change of address?
Answer - If you have moved from one county to another, you have 30 days to notify the sheriff's office of the county you have moved into. Please schedule an appointment for "Name/Address Change" if you are moving into Franklin County. A permit shall become invalid if the permit holder has not notified the sheriff.
If you are moving within the same County, you are not required to notify the sheriff of an address change. Your address can be updated at the time your permit is due for renewal.

Answer - Yes. If your name changes, you will need to notify the sheriff within 30 days. Please schedule an appointment for a "Name/Address Change". A permit shall become invalid if the permit holder has not notified the sheriff within that length of time.
5. Do I have to report a destroyed or lost permit?
Answer - You must notify the sheriff or designee after knowledge of the lost or destroyed permit within 7 days.
6. Is someone with a Green Card able to apply for a permit?
Answer - Yes- If you are not a US citizen, you must show a valid Green Card with a permanent resident number in order to apply.
7. How long does it take to process a new application?
Answer - The sheriff has up to 45 days to issue a permit. The average time is usually 1 - 2 weeks for issuance.
